Information on the Electronic Declaration of Birth
You may choose to declare your child's birth by using our Electronic Declaration of Birth online service.
This service allows you to
- complete the Declaration of Birth;
- complete the Application for Simplified Access to Birth-related Government Programs and Services, for an easier procedure and access to more than ten government programs and services;
- order a certificate or a copy of an act, if applicable, at a lower rate;
- track the processing of your application for a certificate or a copy of an act once the birth is entered in the Register, if applicable.
Important
If you choose to declare your child's birth via our Electronic Declaration of Birth online service, you must not declare it again by using the paper form. It is important to use only one means to declare your child's birth, because receiving two Declarations for the same child will lead to additional processing delays.
